I live focused on the current moment because this is the only time that I have to live it.

In each moment, I seize every opportunity I have to have fun and improve myself.

I indulge in a daily celebration of life without regard to things beyond my control.

My mind is set to live each moment of today to the fullest. I treasure today because I am setting myself up for a life free from regrets.

When I look back at today, I feel proud of my choices and decisions.

I ignore distractions in order to be present in my life. I choose to take an active role in the direction my life is headed.

I am fully living life, instead of allowing life to happen to me.

Being focused helps me to adequately prepare myself for the future.

When I am organized, I conserve my energy for more important things in life. Armed with a plan, I can overcome any obstacle ahead.

I am surrounded by peace like a morning breeze on a cool autumn morning.

As the seasons of life change like the color of the leaves, I rest assured that I can handle anything that comes my way.

Yesterday is my teacher, today is my opportunity, and tomorrow is my destiny.

Today, I remain focused on what is before me and I embrace the future with great expectation. I let go of insecurity and allow peace to take over me.

I fill my mind with powerful thoughts.

My mind is the design center of my reality. When I fill my mind with powerful thoughts, I keep myself from shallow and worthless opinions.

The blueprint for my character is marked by compelling depth because I allow powerful thoughts in my mind.

My mind preserves knowledge and retains wisdom so I can shape my actions according to the understanding that I possess.

My actions and words are the unequivocal evidence of what I harbor inside my mind.

I remove negative thoughts from my mental archives in order to fill my mind with positivity.

When my mind is filled with substance, I am able to expel weakness from my thought life.

My thoughts promote prosperity in every area of my life.

I enjoy reading the works of wise men and women in order to glean knowledge from them.

Whenever I read or hear an inspiring quote, I write it down so I may recall it at a later time.

My mind is so full of powerful thoughts that, whenever I am faced with a difficult situation, I can affirm myself with the knowledge that I hold.

I can trust myself as my own counselor in times of trouble because I am filled with hope.

Today, I am giving superior value to the power of my thoughts.

I am filling my mind with powerful thoughts by stirring up memories of lessons learned and attracting new knowledge.

My private thoughts are becoming the visible reality of my life.

Create a Memorable Holiday Season Without Going into Debt

You can still spread the holiday cheer without spending a great deal of money in the process.

The holiday season is about giving, but it doesn’t have to be about spending.

There are plenty of ways to still show love and spread memories around!

Start Saving Early

You may think it’s a little crazy to start preparing for the holidays several months in advance, but it could end up saving you a great deal of money.

Think about the people you’ll need gifts for, and then make a list. This way, as you shop around throughout the year, you can keep an eye out for the items on your list.

You might find something on a super sale that you may have ended up paying the full price for otherwise.

Entertaining

When it comes to entertaining guests over the holidays, keep in mind that you’ll likely have to spend some money.

But you can spend smart.

Shop for holiday specials, and if you’re entertaining many guests, you can consider warehouse shopping for some of the items needed.

You can also consider going potluck style. Many people enjoy potluck dinners because there are usually plenty of varieties of food.

Guests will also enjoy chatting about who brought what to the event. It’s a great way to save money and time on preparing many dishes.

Decorating

Decorating is something that you can build on from year to year.

Remember to re-use the decorations from last year. If you need new ones, or enjoy adding to your decorations each year, don’t forget about handmade items.

You should get your children involved with the decorations.

Have them string up popcorn on a string for a Christmas tree or get them to draw and color ornaments.

You can even bake decorations out of dough and enjoy a painting session with the kids.

Gifts

When it comes to gifts, remember that something homemade is often regarded as more valuable than something store bought because of the sentimental value.

Plus, the supplies needed for a homemade gift are often a great deal cheaper than other gift ideas.

Make sure you keep an eye on special holiday deals when it comes to gifts.

Often times you’ll find a deal throughout the shopping season, and not just on big sale days such as Black Friday.

Websites such as Amazon.com will have constant hourly deals going on that may allow you to save additional money on items you were going to purchase anyway.

Remember that no matter what holiday you’re celebrating, you can always go “Secret Santa” style when it comes to gifts.

During a Secret Santa get together, each person will draw someone’s name out of a hat.

This way, when it comes time to exchange gifts, you only need to buy one gift and you’ll also be receiving a gift from someone else in the group.

Activities With The Kids

Kids love the holidays. No matter how much you actually spend, it’s the activities and the togetherness that they’ll remember fondly when they’re older.

It may be fun to start a family tradition that the whole family can look forward to doing for years to come.

This can also be something that doesn’t involve too much money.

Maybe it’s baking cookies together, or sharing photos from the past year, or even decorating the tree together.

You can also get the kids excited about the approaching holidays by reading to them at bedtime.

Tell holiday-themed stories from books or memory. You can also enjoy a holiday-themed show or movie together during a lazy weekend.

Conquer Your Resistance to Change for Greater Happiness and Success

Your instincts will often kick in and tell you to resist change.

This might happen without you even noticing it.

This happens because the body and mind are always looking for stability and balance.

However, whether you like it or not, the world is ever changing. If you don’t learn to change with it, your life will eventually become stale and unexciting.

If everything stays the same your whole life, you won’t be reaching your ultimate calling and your level of happiness and success will be mediocre at best.

The good news is that there are steps you can take to learn to conquer your resistance to change.

You’ll learn that it doesn’t have to be a huge insurmountable task; you can work slowly and efficiently to gradually allow the change into your life.

Instigate Changes Daily

One thing you can do to start getting used to the idea of change is to familiarize yourself with the feeling on a daily basis.

These don’t need to be large changes, but when you make the effort to step out of your comfort zone a little each day, you’ll start to see life from a different perspective.

When you make small changes, you’ll actually evolve your daily routine. You’ll discover quicker and more efficient ways of doing things.

Also, since you’re engaging in small changes, it won’t feel as shocking to you and you likely won’t feel an intense urge to resist.

The small changes can be as simple as trying different kinds of toothpaste, or reorganizing the files on your computer in a different manner.

They seem like boring tasks but this will set you up for a renewed mindset.

Take A Different Route To Work

You may be used to taking the same route to work every day simply because it’s the shortest.

Your brain then becomes so used to the routine that you’re basically on autopilot.

Taking a different route may take you longer to get there, but it’ll open you up to change.

You’ll have to think about where you’re driving and remain aware of your surroundings.

Eat Different Foods

You may think that you already know what you like and don’t like. It’s easy to fall into the routine of eating basically the same meals each and every week.

However, your diet can be an excellent way to bring about change in your life in a non-threatening way.

There are endless recipes and combinations of food out there. There are also many styles and cultures available when it comes to cooking your food.

You can make a goal with yourself to try adding something new to your diet every week.

You may end up not enjoying what you ate, but when you’re trying 52 new meals per year, you’re bound to find some new gems!

Remind Yourself What Change Has Brought You

At the end of the day, remember all the wonderful new experiences and relationships that change has brought you.

While there are inevitably bad things, there are sure to be many great things as well.

When you concentrate on the positive, you’ll keep up a good attitude.

Keep in mind that change is good for you. Since nothing in life is static, you need to make change a normal part of your life.

You need to be willing to move yourself forward to reach your ultimate goals. When you do, you’ll find that you’re happier and more fulfilled in life!
