I look at life through rose-colored glasses.

I take an optimistic view of life and trust that good things will happen.

Consequently, I find that most of the time they do!

When challenges arise, I look for the silver lining and take advantage of it.

Sometimes I hear people say, “I never promised you a rose garden.”

However, I realize that a rose garden is exactly what I have!

Just as roses have thorns along with their incredible beauty, life has its piercing moments along with its joy.

One naturally goes along with the other.

I welcome this diversity and include it into my rose-colored view.

Just because my view is rosy does not mean that I see only what is good and ignore the rest! I accept it all.

Rather than clouding my view, they bring me perfect clarity!

The difference is that I focus more on the beauty and can often find something good in everything.

Take challenges, for instance.

Many times an obstacle gives me a new way of looking at something.

In the end, it provides me with new knowledge and, at times, this new knowledge is exactly what I need to reach my goal.

Today, I intend to keep my rose-colored glasses on at all times.

I hope for the best and I strive to find the silver lining in any challenges that may come my way.

I make decisions with the big picture in mind.

I keep my priorities and goals in clear view so that, regardless of the circumstances, I do what I know to be the right thing for me.

Even if emotions run high in a disagreement or the distractions of the day try to take away my focus, I automatically think of the big picture.

I ask myself, “What is most important here?”

In a disagreement with someone I love, I go with the solution that best maintains a positive, loving relationship, because that is what is most important to me.

Whether I am right or wrong about a trivial issue does not matter.

In business negotiations, I keep my primary goal in mind and my discussions open to any solution that works well for both of us.

This solidifies a profitable business relationship.

Another question I ask myself in order to keep the big picture in mind is, “Will this make a difference 5 years from now?”

If a single issue can make a difference 5 years from now, I know that it is a matter of some importance to my life.

Otherwise, I keep it in its proper perspective.

Either way, I make decisions accordingly, letting my priorities guide me in my decision.

I use this strategy every day, even in seemingly small decisions.

Keeping my priorities in mind allows me to choose to live life according to what is really important to me, rather than being blown willy-nilly by momentary distractions.

As a result, I live a fulfilling life!

Today, I intend to keep the big picture in mind and I let my priorities – not distractions – guide me in my decisions.

I refuse to be average. I was designed to be so much more than ordinary.

I was created with many talents for a reason.

I may not know what that reason is, but I develop them to the best of my ability to help fulfill my purpose in life.

I may not be the strongest, smartest, most beautiful, or most talented person in the world, but I am definitely not average!

I purposely do many things in my life to avoid falling into the “average” trap.

I seek new knowledge to improve my talents and strengthen my skills.

I read and research new ideas to find out all I can.

I take classes, go to seminars, and find mentors to help me bring out my talents.

I am action-oriented. I take action every day to work toward my goals.

When I come upon a challenge, I figure out a solution that can get me moving again rather than allow the situation to stall me in my quest.

I am passionate.

My zest for life gives me the energy and motivation to be the best I can be.

When I choose a path to travel, I go down that path full-force.

I love fully, selflessly and completely.

I clarify my priorities and make decisions accordingly.

I know what is important to me and live without regret.

All these things keep me from being average.

I am unique, valuable, and important to this world.

I know it with absolute certainty and live an extra-ordinary life that shows it.

Today, I plan to step out of the average world, discover a new talent, and take action to develop it.

I respond to setbacks with optimism and a sense of opportunity.

Challenges that set me back cannot stop me.

At worst, they can only delay my success a little bit.

In the end, though, I know that I can attain great success.

I am confident of my abilities to overcome obstacles.

Sometimes a setback gives me a chance to advance my knowledge and see things in a new way, which results in achieving my goal even sooner than my original path may have taken.

My setback becomes the event that actually catapults me forward!

Sometimes what seems like a setback gives me a chance for adventure, like if my flight is canceled and I am stranded in a strange city.

I could get upset about it.

Or I could take advantage of my opportunity to take a mini-vacation and be a tourist for a day!

If I get stuck in a long traffic jam, instead of worrying about being late for an appointment, I can call ahead to reschedule and then listen to an inspiring CD.

This moment may be just the thing I need to discover a solution to another challenge.

There are some setbacks that can even serve to heighten my motivation to achieve my goal.

My optimistic attitude jumps in to tell me that I am capable, in spite of the setback, and I get through with more determination than ever before!

For these reasons, I resist the temptation to think of setbacks as bad.

In fact, I know that they are often good.

So I view them as an opportunity and look for the silver lining as I seek my solution.

Today, I intend to look for the silver lining in every challenge and view my setbacks in a positive light.

I take pride in my small achievements, for each step brings me closer to success.

I have a bulletproof plan for success and it keeps me fulfilled and motivated all along the way!

It is my road map and every small task I accomplish is one step on the road to attaining my goals.

I divide every major goal in my life into a series of smaller goals that lead up to it.

Then I divide each of the smaller goals into a series of small, attainable tasks.

Once I take the time to figure out the smaller goals and tasks, I have a sure-fire plan for success.

All I need to do is dive right in!

I schedule some quick and easy tasks for the beginning so that even large projects can be easily started.

This helps me build my focus and momentum.

Once I get going like this, it’s easier to keep going, even when challenges arise.

I have the momentum to solve the problem and continue on.

I keep my plan flexible so that small detours around a challenge can still get me to my destination.

So in my plan, every task completed – every small achievement – is something to be proud of.

Each task is an integral part of my journey to success.

When I complete even the smallest one, I celebrate my victory.

Today, I intend to figure out my detailed plan for success and then I jump right in to achieve those small victories on my journey.
