I set aside time just for me because I know that I must take care of myself in order to be as productive as possible and effectively care for others.
Because I give my full attention to my family and my work when I am engaged with them, I let go of all guilt when I make time to be away on my own.
By being alone and doing something I find refreshing, I am allowing stress to dissolve, bringing me better health and a more stable mood.
It is easy to live life on autopilot, just going through the same motions each day.
When I break with my routine and do something new, I jump start the parts of my brain that grow sluggish with day-to-day routines.
I find it easy to be inspired when I am off on my own, doing something I love.
This momentum also carries over into my home and work life.
Because I take time off, my energy levels are higher, and I am able to achieve more upon my return than if I remain with my nose to the grindstone.
Spending time alone is one of the investments I make, not only for myself, but also for my community because I know it makes me a more creative, productive person.
When was the last time you spent time alone, doing something you enjoy?
What time can you set aside in the upcoming week to spend some time alone?
Talk about that in the Personal Growth Cafe Community!
