Because I am organized, I am able to minimize my daily stress.

I take the necessary time to be organized because I know that doing so minimizes my daily stress.

While it is sometimes tempting to rush into a work week or a project, I recognize that my time is like money; I have to spend some to gain some.

I organize my time to facilitate my goals by pruning off activities that drain me of my time and energy.

I recognize that, like everyone else, my time is not limitless. I choose to set aside specific times for those activities that are important to me and I let the rest go.

I set aside time at the beginning of each project to make sure I have a clear picture of where I am going and that I have the resources I need to get there.

This way I don’t end up whittling it away on pointless and avoidable activities.

For example, I see no point in wasting time hunting for my keys each morning, so I set a basket by the door to drop them in each night.

Supplies are stocked and organized by my desk to prevent wasted time and distraction when I am in the middle of my work.

A weekly menu eliminates waste when I shop and minimizes my time in the kitchen.

I take a few minutes to do each of these things on a periodic basis so I can have more time to focus on what is truly important in my life.

By keeping organized and utilizing my time wisely, procrastination melts away.

Living an ordered life helps me accomplish my goals. I am so happy that I am in control of my projects and goals.

Being productive is important to me because I want to live an active and purposeful life and when I reach my goals, I feel proud of myself.

In order to be productive in my life, I keep organized.

It is important for me to find ways to organize my desk, to remove paper clutter from my life, and to arrange my home into a peaceful environment.

I do not put off tackling chores because I know that my neatness will make completing any given task easier.

By managing my time wisely, I stay on track. Using calendars to mark important dates and meetings, writing schedules in my planner, and setting deadlines for myself, are all ways of making sure I use my time wisely.

Completing tasks is so much easier because I choose to manage my time effectively.

When I procrastinate, I feel frozen by inaction, but I can overcome this feeling.

By keeping organized and using my time wisely, procrastination melts away.

Warmth spreads from my fingers to my toes. All of that pent up energy is released and I am free to complete my projects.

It is such a relief to be organized. The systems I have in my life make my daily chores more manageable.

I am able to classify projects and accomplish them in a sensible way.

Effectively using my time means I can get even more accomplished and by finishing my tasks, I am prepared for the excitement of a new challenge.

A little pressure is the lift I need to hurdle over limitations and expectations.

Pressure can be my invigorating teammate. My work benefits from applying gentle pressure to myself. It motivates me to do my best.

I thrive under pressure because I am a positive person. I choose to use it as a performance enhancer.

While others get bent out of shape by pressure, I use it to my advantage.

With the right dose of pressure, I can conquer fear and self doubt.

I can fly over mountains and accomplish things I never would have accomplished if I worked with mediocrity instead.

Limitations are feeble against me when I am on a mission.

When under pressure, I only use my time for progress. Therefore, I stay away from hesitation and procrastination. I simply launch myself into action.

Under a little pressure I find that I do not have time to doubt myself. I charge forward simply trying my best. Second guessing myself is out of the question.

If I don’t feel like I have the strength to finish something I’ve started, a little dose of pressure clears up my view quickly.

It is in my nature to impress and to perform above the rest.

When others make demands of me, it is because they believe in me. Pressure propels me to exceed their expectations.

I embrace the challenge and perform better than I could ever imagine.

I welcome all forms of pressure including competition, deadlines, evaluations, and high expectations.

No matter what the challenge is before me, I am ready to leap over it.

Coping With Bad News

Let’s face the facts: life is full of both good and bad surprises.

You can’t live your life worried about bad news, otherwise you’ll paralyze yourself in fear.

Instead, you need to become more resilient and learn how to expect the unexpected.

You really can learn how to cope with unexpected news and become a stronger, more confident person in times of pressure.

Let’s go through some ways to make coping with the unexpected easier.

Expect the Unexpected

Have you ever gotten a call from a friend who cancels a get-together you were looking forward to?

This is an extremely trivial example of unexpected news, but it represents what we all deal with on a daily basis.

You may feel disappointed or frustrated, especially if you spent time preparing for the event, but you have two choices: move on and make the best of the day, or allow it to sour your mood and hold you back.

Ask yourself: what do you typically do when you encounter the unexpected?

Well, instead of allowing the change of plans to ruin your day, try to get your mind busy onto something else.

Is there a fun activity that you can do at home?

Is there something you can do for yourself or your family?

You can make the best of things by turning the unexpected into a new opportunity.

Build a Solid Support System

Another way to deal with unexpected news is to turn to your support system. Bad news can come with great pain.

If you get the news that someone has passed away, for example, this is something that is going to cause you deep pain and suffering.

Of course, it’s normal to feel these very real emotions.

In these times it is important for you to turn to those around you for support.

You may need someone to talk to, someone to cry with, or even a helping hand.

It’s crucial that surround yourself with positive influences instead of isolating yourself.

Using the Power of the Mind to Cope with Bad News

Positive affirmations are another way that you can cope with unexpected news.

Affirmations are concise statements that you can use to help you think in a more positive manner.

When bad news is overwhelming you and you don’t know how to cope, you can stop and say:

“In times of crisis, I am safe because I have a well thought out recovery plan waiting to be launched.”

“I challenge myself to be calm in order to release daily pressures.”

When you say these phrases aloud, you’re reaffirming the statement in your mind and you’re re-focusing your energy on solutions, instead of worries.

Whether you believe it or not, words have power.

Repeating these affirmations may console you and remind you about your strength during difficult situations.

When you use positive affirmations and the other coping techniques mentioned, you will find that you are more confident to deal with whatever life throws your way.

Remember, it’s okay to be afraid of uncertainty, but you can equip yourself with the tools, techniques, and support system to overcome any obstacle, challenge, or situation.

Become an Expert in Your Field – Perfecting Your Skills and Delegating Your Weaknesses

If you want to stand out from the crowd or competition at work, then you need to be seen as an expert in your field.

This takes action on your part and not just walking around telling people that you’re an expert.

Everyone has the potential to be an expert at what they do. Here are a few simple steps that you’ll need to follow first to be recognized as an expert.

Educate Yourself

First and foremost, make sure that you’re educated on what you’re doing.

If you’re working in the maintenance department of a company and you want to be seen as the go-to person on anything related to maintenance, then you need to know what you’re talking about.

Take evening courses at a local college to help further your education and keep you up to date on the latest knowledge and technology.

Read more. It doesn’t matter what you do as a profession, you need to take advantage of the vast knowledge in the library.

By expanding your knowledge you’ll also build your confidence.

Tell me one person that was ever seen as an expert that didn’t believe in themselves and what they were doing.

Can you name one? Not likely! With knowledge comes confidence.

Demonstrate Your Knowledge

It’s one thing to talk about what you know, but it’s something else entirely to actually do it.

Experts don’t walk around and brag about what they can do, they take action.

If you encounter a difficult problem or situation, you’ll be able to take charge and find a solution.

Be proactive. If a problem arises, take action right away to find a solution. If you don’t know the answer yourself, search out someone who does.

Even experts need to learn new things and they aren’t afraid to admit it to others.

Learn To Be a Great Communicator

People have to understand what you can do and why you’re the best one to do it.

This means that you have to understand and foresee the questions and concerns of others, then prepare and articulate the answers and solutions to them.

Great communicators don’t just boss others around. Use your communications skills to teach and empower your coworkers.

Always Act With Integrity

Don’t take credit for things you haven’t done and don’t take shortcuts.

Skipping out on doing something the right way doesn’t make you an expert, however, this doesn’t mean that you have to do everything yourself.

There will always be things we’re not so good at.

In those circumstances, you have to learn how to delegate those responsibilities to others who have the skills required to get the job done.

Part of being a good expert is seeing the strengths and weaknesses of others and how their talents can be put to good use.

Give others credit for a job well done. Wise leaders and the most incredible of experts don’t do everything themselves.

They have a talented team around them who have the skills they themselves lack.

By following these simple steps you’ll become the person with the answers. These are the experts who become irreplaceable and well respected because they take action.
